The Firefighter's Challenge is a compelling experiential simulation that engages participants' intellect and emotion for significant learning of how effective leadership, diversity and inclusion strategies, and communication skills contribute to successful teamwork.
Bring together your intact, cross-functional, or new teams and they will learn the key leadership concepts that firefighters use in their life-saving and dangerous work. The simulation can be customized to your organization and the experience includes:
Experiencing the firefighter simulation
Linking the experience to leadership
Building team effectiveness
Increasing diversity, inclusion and communication awareness
Identifying leadership behaviors that transform particpants' actions
Delivery Options/Program Length
Option 1: Standard program: 3.5 hours includes basic program and general debrief
Option 2: Custom program: 6 hours (full day) includes full experience, custom debrief, and detailed action planning
Audience
Designed for individuals, intact teams, or cross-functional teams who are required to work together towards a common goal
Licensing/Train-the-trainer
Program licensing and trainer development is available with the Global Novations certification process.
Learning Methodologies
Experiential simulation; some physical activity*; role-plays
* The experiential activity will require some attendees to be physically involved. Other attendees will be less physically involved, which allows for persons with different levels of physical abilities to actively participate and be engaged.
